"It was a tough course," said Ross Krause, who competed professionally for Sportsbooks.com in 2003. "It was hard to find a rhythm. The hills just kept coming at you. And then when you got to the top, you really had to pay attention on the way down. It was twisty and turny. There were some potholes. But it was well-marked up there so that was nice. It was a very difficult course."
2007 Female Race Winner Ashley Krause
"It was an excellent course," Ashley Krause said. "The bike was really challenging. The woods were beautiful. It also spoke to my strengths, which is hill climbing. And then in the woods, there were a lot of roots, to jump around. If someone wasn't used to running on trails, it was tough for them."
